This website, Madeenah.Org, is a service provided by Salafi Publications and aims to present statements on creed, methodology and jurisprudence [as well as clarifications and advice regarding groups, individuals and current affairs] from scholars of the city of Madeenah (who resided, taught or studied therein) such as:

Shaykh ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz bin Bāz (former mudīr of the Islāmic University),
Shaykh Muḥammad Nāṣir al-Dīn al-Albānī (former teacher),
Shaykh Muḥammad Amīn al-Shanqīṭī (former teacher),
Shaykh Ḥammād al-Anṣārī (former teacher),
Shaykh Muḥammad Amān al-Jāmī (former teacher),
Shaykh Muqbil bin Hādī (former student),
Shaykh Rabīʿ bin Hādī (former teacher),
Shaykh ʿUbayd al-Jābirī (former teacher),
Shaykh Muḥammad bin Hādī (teacher),
Shaykh ʿAbdullāh al-Bukhārī (teacher),
and others.

The older and more senior amongst these scholars have played an outstanding role since a quarter of a century in clarifying the Salafi methodology in the face of a series of Ikhwani callers, plants and stooges (and those poisoned with their ideas and principles) who entered trials and tribulations within the ranks of Salafīs, all in the name of Salafiyyah.

Some of these scholars have been reviled, abused and attacked for their stance towards deviant individuals, groups and methodologies, with names such as Jāmiyyah, Madkhaliyyah, Ghulāt al-Tajrīḥ, Salafiyyah Jadīdah, Salafiyyah Taqlīdiyyah and so on. The reality is that these scholars have followed a middle path, refuting a) the Quṭbiyyah, Surūriyyah whose ideology is the foundation for al-Qaeda and ISIS, b) the extremist Ḥaddādiyyah such as Maḥmūd al-Ḥaddād, ʿAbd al-Laṭīf Bāshmīl, Fāliḥ al-Ḥarbī, Fawzī al-Baḥrainī, Yaḥyā al-Ḥajūrī and c) the wasting, softening Mumayyiʿah such as Salmān al-ʿAwdah, Abū al-Ḥasan al-Maʾribī, ʿAlī Ḥasan al-Ḥalabī and Ibrāhīm al-Ruḥaylī amongst others who invent principles to undermine the foundations of the Salafī methodology as it relates to dealing with the people of innovation and desires.

In the face of these clarifications, many doubts and misconceptions have been spread and used to undermine and oppose the clarity and unity that has emerged through the clarifications and refutations of the abovementioned scholars. From them is the claim of “ghuluww in specific scholars”, “monopolosing the daʿwah”, “exaggerating in jarḥ”, “judging the intentions of people”, “restricting people from teaching”, “causing disunity” and some of them, such as Tāhir Wyatt make slanderous accusations such as accusing Salafīs of, “wanting to stop the spread of Islām”, which is tantamount to takfīr. So perhaps the reader will see through these doubts by way of the clarifications of these scholars and their answers to these doubts inshāʾAllāh.

Since that time period, we have been translating and publishing the statements of these scholars and this website will serve as a collection and reference point for these statements.

Any Salafī who values his creed and methodology should benefit from the great service offered by these senior scholars in this field in particular as well as their knowledge of matters pertaining to creed, jurisprudence, dealings and the rest of the rulings of Islām in general.
